Mad Dog and Merrill BBQ Sauce

We eat a lot of barbecue sauce in our house. Well, let me rephrase that – I eat a lot of barbecue sauce. We all like it but I love it and add use it all the time. There are a lot of good barbecue sauces out there – Famous Dave’s, Sweet Baby Ray’s, etc…but when I see a new one I always try it.

Last year at a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game, Mad Dog and Merrill were there grilling out for the fans.  Unless you are a Wisconsinite you won’t be familiar with these two guys.  They are grilling gurus who provide tips for how to grill food, recipes, and now sauces.  The girls and I got hot dogs and the hubby got a brat and we all decided to try some of their new sauce.  Hubby took spicy and the rest of us took #1.  Wow!  This is by far one of the best barbecue sauces I have ever had.  I have since tried the other two but #1 is a perfectly balanced barbecue sauce, smoky, not too sweet, and absolutely delicious.  But don’t be scared to try the spicy sauce as it has kick but it is not overwhelming.

Do you have a favorite barbecue sauce?  If so, what is it?
