This is one of my favorite memes to participate in – you should visit Should Be Reading because it is a great site!
This week’s musing, courtesy of http://readbookswritepoetry.blogspot.in, asks:
What attracts you to a book blog? What puts you off in a book blog? Do you share personal stuff on your book blog?
The absolute first thing that attracts me to a book blog is the look of the site. A good header is like a good book cover to me, it isn’t a deal breaker but with limited time I am more drawn to the nice looking sites. I also love books that talk about a variety of books. Again, I read a lot of blogs in my reader and many of them are devoted to YA, Romance, Horror, etc…but my favorites are the ones that talk about all different kinds.
Things that put me off – I don’t like it when pictures aren’t posted on a somewhat regular basis when someone is posting a book review. To me, it is almost necessary to have this included. The other thing that turns me off is music that is playing on a site. Only because it delays my browser to the point where it can cause my computer to freeze.
As far as personal stuff on my book blog, that isn’t something I do. I love my different sites and have ones devoted to different things, so my book blog is for books and authors only.

Oh, I SO agree about the music! I *hate* the music players!
And I also love a book blog that reviews all kinds of books. I try to do the same.
I agree with your answers, and I too, have 3 active blogs, and try to visit as many as possible. So the thing I hate most is word verification, it wastes a lot of my time.
I love good headers, I don't have one at the moment but it's in the works. They def get me interested, lovin yours btw. here's my Musing
Oh yes, music on the blog is so frustrating!

I enjoy blogs that feature an eclectic mix of genres too, because that's what I like. I also agree about the music – it slows down my browser, plus I love my computer to be silent.
I like a clean blog layout, too, without music. Keep it simple!
